We are showing Marlene a good time and filling the calendar with stuff -- Thursday night it was a touring production of "Funny Girl," which was really quite good. Throughout the performance, I imagined a 20-something Barbra Streisand belting out Fanny's songs on Broadway in 1967. That must have been incredible.
Friday Lincoln and Marlene went to the high school baseball game with a bunch of Germans and their host students and then came home for a crock pot stew, before going to Lucy's house to try out her hot tub (which was "closed for maintenance,") so not sure how they spent the evening.
Saturday they slept late (11) and then all went to the mall, where Marlene bought an Owala water bottle and experienced the sensory overload of Dave & Buster's. In the evening, they all ate at our place, polishing off a pair of pork loins, and played Hues & Cues.
