A great night for pole vaulting last night at Ballston Spa High School! For some reason the event ran longer than the rest of the meet, so dozens of kids crowded around the vaulting mat for the final few jumps, encouraging some of the vaulters with "clap outs" as they competed. Lincoln set a PR again, this time clearing 9'6" and trying one of his jumps at 10' with a stiffer pole that is rated up to 160 lbs. of body weight. Coach says as he gets used to that new pole in practice, 11' is not out of the question this season. Very cool!
