The road less traveled

Not really, Yeager and I walk it quite often. That's Mohawk Trail a couple streets over from our house. Apparently it, and its spur Comanche Trail, can keep their names, but the Niskayuna Silver Warriors must change theirs. The school is ramping up brainstorming sessions for a new name and Carey has so far suggested what I think should be the clear winner: The Niskayuna Silver Worriers. It's perfect! They'd only have to change two letters on the football field and it encapsulates the state of high anxiety we all live in today, particularly those helicopter parents who can't imagine their child ever earned a B in chemistry.

Anyway, Mohawk Trail was particularly lovely this morning as the leaves hold on to their branches for a few more days. I am looking forward to a nice weekend. Long run on Saturday morning with a work colleague, then we watch Lincoln run his final cross country race as a high school senior that afternoon, produce an ESPN+ UAlbany Men's Soccer game Saturday evening, rake the lawn and recover on Sunday morning, and watch the U.S. Navy Band perform at the High School Sunday afternoon!
