New York, New York

I was lucky enough to spend a wonderful whirlwind weekend in the "Greatest City in the World" thanks to the Said Peace Scholars program. Activities included a talk with Gizem Sucuoglu (the Special Assistant to the UN High Representative for Disarmament), a UN tour, a pre-colonial walking tour of the financial district, and a program sponsored dinner at the Smith. We spent the rest of Friday and Saturday exploring the city.

9 of us took the cable car to Roosevelt Island before dinner on Friday

Security Council! They voted on Haiti sanctions that morning.

Great exhibit on peace activism and graffiti in the UN lobby

Just two aspiring diplomats ;)

  1. I may do nothing else in life and die proud that you're a helluva blogger! Trip looks amazing -- like it was designed in a lab for "How Would Greta Most Like to Spend a Fall Weekend While in College?" :-)
