Been a few days...

Not much to report, though. Greta completed her first AP exam yesterday, World History. She thinks she did OK. I can certainly vouch that she did her best to prepare! The young woman's study habits are to be commended. She wore a "lucky shirt" from her late Aunt Chris' closet and earned herself a Chipotle dinner to celebrate.

I saw a legit ophthalmologist (fantastic spelling of that word, by the way) for the first time in years on the advice of my primary care doctor. Eye problems being a frequent issue for diabetics, natch. Happy to report my optic nerves are healthy for a 49-year-old and my prescriptions are unchanged from a year ago. Oh, and no glaucoma. Check out my dilated pupils though! The bad news? I'm no longer a great candidate for Lasik. The window for that was a decade ago.

Heading into the weekend, we don't have too much planned. Weather is supposed to be decent so I hope Linc and I get a good mountain bike ride in and Greta has a birthday present to claim -- a pie cooking class at a local gourmet kitchen store.
