The Niskayuna Mohawk Composite Mountain Goats repeated as state mountain bike champions on Sunday, earning enough points in the final race at McCauley Mountain in Old Forge to claim the title.
More importantly, the Merrill progeny both lined up for all five races, earning enough participation points to place 10th overall in the JV Girls Division (out of 18) and 17th in the Sophomore Boys Division (out of 29). Greta ended her racing "career" by finishing four laps of the course for the first time as well! We were very proud and all hope that Lincoln stays with it next year. I might have even promised him a nice full-suspension bike if he does. 😀
