The barge ran like a Deere, as the old commercials used to say. Mom scouted locations where she might want to "borrow" some wildflowers from the Forever Wild Adirondack Wilderness and Greta took her turn as captain, blatantly flouting the "10 and 2" rule. Yeager moved around often but made sure we were all accounted for on the high seas.
Perhaps Greta was blatantly flouting (not flaunting?) the '10 and 2' rule because her hands are not in that position in the picture.
