Colors of Spring

One of Greta's stay-at-home art projects was to create an album cover, you know, because nobody currently in high school has ever owned an album. But anyway, the art teacher asked them to use any medium they had available, so she chose photography and her subject was the ferns that grow on the side of our garage. For 12 straight days she laid in the dirt at ground level to photograph the green shoot with her phone. She then used Google Draw to lay it out and manipulated the colors with an app called Pixlr. The title is not wholly original -- she was inspired by a 1986 release by the British band Talk Talk called The Colour of Spring.

  1. Very nicely done Greta! Even if the music wasn't good, I would buy the album for the cover alone.
