Belated Happy Mother's Day!

Carey finally got a day off on Sunday -- well, she had one conference call -- so we Cloroxed the Pilot and threw everyone and the dog inside. Destination: Great Flats Nature Trail in Rotterdam, N.Y. It's about a 3-mile loop through wetlands bordered by the Thruway and Route 890. The kids and I hiked it on Saturday and they were eager to show it to Carey. I brought the good camera, hoping to get a red-winged blackbird in flight, but we saw geese and ducks instead.
