We spent our Saturday in Tuxedo, N.Y., at the Renaissance Faire. The kids were faire virgins, so there was much to laugh at -- from the accents to the outfits to the fool's jokes. Lincoln was selected by the juggler to participate in his act. All the kids were gathered on a circular stage and he said he would pick the five who made the best faces. The juggler pointed to Lincoln and said, "I have to have the slow melting zombie face, come on up." He had to hold a stick with a spinning plate on it and was most excellent at it.
The kids were generously told they could go home with one gift. Each chose elf ears, while their pal Maya opted for satyr horns.
I didn't buy any horns, but borrowed some for a selfie.
