A peak at the week

A nice tradition from Lincoln's third grade teacher, Mrs. Colby: She sends home a "Friday Folder" that summarizes students' work. My favorite this week is a page called "Poems About Me!"

I AM
Tired like a willow
I slump
The breeze carries me places

I FEEL
Like I'm ready to learn
Get me a paper and pencil
I can write.

I SEE
An empty playground
No kids are on it.

Here are the kids at the bus stop this morning. Their shirts served two purposes -- it was school spirit day and Craig Elementary's color is red. And it was 9/11 and if my Facebook feed can be believed, nobody is allowed to forget.
