Now that it's fake and requires nothing more than climbing the ladder to the attic, setting up our Christmas tree is a true weekend-after-Thanksgiving tradition. We busted out the ornament boxes after dinner last night and the kids were preternaturally excited. "Jesus is the reason for the season," I kept imploring them, as visions of American Girl Pets and Skylanders danced in their heads.
