Day 13

A friendly crew from Florida Power & Light spent most of the day on our property, but was unable to get the juice going. They suspect there's some problem underground, so the manhole cover is now open and they're working like moles to figure out the problem before the clock strikes Midnight.

The good news? Two-fold: We are finally part of the One Percent (99% of NJ has been restored) and our friends the Haydens continue to be our Angels of Mercy. We had a lovely day together playing at Caterpillar Park, where a pair of enormous pine trees ripped out of the soil to create a perfect hidey hole for children under the age of 7 who like nothing more than pretending to be forest animals. They had so much fun that we went back at dusk to do it again.
