Niskayuna doesn't release its class rankings by GPA, but they do bestow something called the Niskayuna Medal of Academic Excellence, which goes to anyone with a GPA in the top 5% of the class, plus sometimes, students in the top 10% who are nominated by the faculty. That's a long way of saying that our son was given the award last night, along with 25 of his classmates. We believe there are about 450 graduating seniors. So that's pretty good evidence that we raised a second smart kid who will formally graduate on June 25. Congratulations, Linc!

Earlier in the day, the NHS Jazz Ensemble performed at a picnic that Grandma and Grandpa Merrill were able to attend.
