I made the mistake of looking at a calendar this morning and Saturday marks our eighth-to-last weekend with Lincoln before we drop him off at American. But we still have some milestones to observe along the way. Last night it was Senior Gala, Niskayuna High School's annual dinner dance for the graduating class. Same as in 2023 with Greta, they held it at the Glen Sanders Mansion just across the Mohawk River in Scotia, N.Y. Our role as parents was limited to taking photos in the Central Park Rose Garden in Schenectady before they headed off. I jogged over after work, so no photos of sweaty me. And it was so humid the lens on my DSLR wouldn't stop fogging up! But the iPhone 15 is good for outdoor portraits.
