This is really happening. It got really real last month when we sat down with our investment advisor (humble brag) and sorted out how to pay for Greta's education. The good news? Saving every month since 2005 for this day has prepared us financially. The bad? It hasn't done anything for me, emotionally. But doesn't our almost-18-year-old look nice in her first college sweatshirt? Seniors wore them to school on Monday, but of course, this being High School, nobody was organized enough to take a group photo. American was kind enough to ship a lawn sign to us though. So we can already subtract the $12 shipping and the $7 manufacturing fee from our tuition payment.
