this blog. But they all pale in comparison to the arrival of Greta Corleen Merrill, whose female pattern baldness the first two years of her life were amazing to behold. "What's your son's name?" shoppers would ask me at the checkout line, peering into the stroller. But that all seems years -- 18, even -- ago, and we're left with a remarkable, confident young woman getting ready for her college years. Carey will have more to say in her annual post, but I didn't want the sun to get too high in the sky before putting something in these pages. We love you, Big Kid. And we always will.
