The Niskayuna-Mohawk Composite mountain bike team won the state championship for the third time in five years on Sunday. That's impressive, sure, even when you consider the races weren't run in 2020 due to COVID, but let's be honest -- 2022 was different because Greta Merrill raced in the JV Girls division! In her final race of the year, she just missed the third lap cutoff time by about 2 minutes, despite pedaling on just a few hours sleep after prom night. Overall, she placed 10th out of 16 riders. I know I'm very, very biased, but that was the most fun I've had on four random spring weekends since high school started.
Congrats! I've enjoyed experiencing new activities because of the kids.
