Dad's Day

Had a lovely one in Rodman and its surrounding hamlets. Started with a fantastic mountain bike ride with both kids in the Tug Hill State Forest about 5 miles from home. Where we used to cross country ski occasionally, for readers who remember. A little muddy in spots, but the trails were pretty well groomed overall and we managed a nice 6.5 mile loop bordering the Inman Gulf.

After we got home and cleaned up we all packed into the Pilot and drove to Sacket's Harbor, where Dad's paintings were in a show at the gallery. He won something. Attaboy. We had lunch at the Sandwich Bar and then walked part of the 1812 historical trail, with nice views of Lake Ontario and a park where Lincoln and Greta could try their hands at the Tree Pose on a narrow stump.

Dinner was pork tenderloin and grilled asparagus and then the piece de la resistance was Top Gun: Maverick at the famous Salmon Run Mall. I'll hold my review for the June media diet. All things considered, a full day of Dad's favorite things.
