The New York State High School Ultimate Frisbee State Championships were held this weekend at Bethlehem High School, about 30 minutes from our house. Lincoln played a total of eight games over two days, each about 75 minutes long. On day one, they played all boys High School teams in a round robin tournament style and their co-ed team of mostly beginners went 0-4. On day two they played four more games, including two co-ed teams and went 2-2. I am very proud to report that Lincoln is a true leader on the team, setting up the "stack" offense and encouraging his teammates all the time. He was also one of the points leaders for the weekend, with five or six "points" -- think, touchdowns -- and at least a dozen assists. It was a long couple days, but there was only one 30-minute rain shower and it was otherwise lovely weather to watch frisbees take flight.
