Remember the road race through downtown Albany that Carey ran from 2016-2019? (I can only find the 2017 post in Blogger's crappy archive gadget using this layout.) Greta's Girl Scout troop used to volunteer at a water station. Fast forward past the pandemic (because everybody thinks it's over) and they held it again last night. Since I'm now gainfully employed with a state union that feels it must field a team, I signed up. And since I've been running quite a bit for my health, I did pretty well! Second-place male at PEF, running the 3.5-mile course in 30:02. Not bad for a 50-year-old! The male colleague who beat me (pink bib, blue shoes, bearded in the middle of the front row) is at least 5 years younger and clocked a 27:50. I'm coming for you, Chris Allen!
