Jazz solo No. 1

Someday about 216 Niskayuna residents will say, I was there when Lincoln Merrill first performed publicly as a jazz man. And five of them will be his father, mother, sister, paternal grandfather and grandmother. He will be loathe to admit it, but look closely and you'll see a self-satisfied smirk when he sits down and people clap. I didn't look at anyone else for the duration of the Nisky High Stage Band's three-song set last night and he was bopping his head along with the music and generally just looked like he was doing something he enjoyed. Which makes me very happy. Well done, son.
