Central New York turkeys

Zipped west on the thruway Saturday for a feast at Grandma Vickie's. Each daughter contributed a dish (Brussels sprouts from Carey, sweet potatoes and  various squashes from Colleen), son-in-law Abel made a cranberry sauce, and Greta brought a pie (crushed pecan, edible with braces). Grandma took care of the rest, including an 18 lb. bird, stuffing, mashed potatoes, rolls and half a dozen additional pies. I was super proud of my willpower, ingesting mostly protein and vegetables with a couple servings of stuffing with sausage (OMG, so good!), but leaving room for about one-inch wide slices of blueberry crumble and pecan pies. If there ever was a good reason for a cheat day... Anyway, Greta absconded with my camera for 30 minutes or so and this is what she captured:
