After Ellisburg it was about 20 minutes to Rodman where we picked up my folks and headed to Henderson Harbor to dine at Carbone's Waterside Restaurant. 1.5 stars, would not recommend, but the Lake Ontario views were nice.
Overnighted in Rodman and drove Sunday morning in two cars to Lowville, for breakfast at Jeb's (3 stars, would recommend, and would return for a major sporting event -- the bar setup looked awesome). Checked out The Gallery of the Blue Frog down the street, where Dad has half a dozen oil paintings for sale. Carey didn't buy any, opting instead for some watercolors to encourage Greta's new-ish painting habit. From Lowville, Mom and Dad headed in to South Lake for a few days while Carey and I continued to Boonville on Route 12, where we rode the Black River Feeder Canal towards Forestport. It's the same double track Greta and I rode in May 2024, but a new section of it. Super green and filled with wildflowers.
Life is good.
