Still in Nairobi!

Carey obviously resolved to spend less time with me in 2026. Thirteen days in, she can hang the sign on the ship's deck: Mission Accomplished! She remains in Nairobi for 3 more days, flying home on Jan. 17. In the meantime, I'm told goddaughter Kira has another soccer game to play, a riding lesson (Zebras? Rhinos? Dunno!), and Damond is giving Carey the keys to the kitchen tonight so she can make red snapper fish tacos. Meanwhile, my folks drove over from Rodman to keep me and Yeager company this week. I'm at work, blogging and waiting for Governor Kathy Hochul's annual State of the State address at 1 p.m.

Giraffes are like Kenya's squirrels, just wandering around everywhere, but slower.

Lunch at the cafe across the street from Greta's apartment.

Sigma Kappa sister doin' it for the 'gram.

Karen Blixen, resurrected.

African cat. Scratch him behind the ears and see what happens.
