That's a wrap for Lincoln's first indoor track season. Cleared 7' in the pole vault and raced his fastest 1,000 meters, clocking 3:15, despite getting his heels clipped off the start and somehow managing not to fall. I think I can speak for Carey when I say it was really fun watching him do something new and coach is convinced a season of outdoor vault practice will really help him perfect his form. Way to go, kid!

ReplyDeleteI typed too soon! Turns out his 1,000 meter time on Saturday qualified him for Sectionals on Jan. 17. So off we go to Hudson Valley Community College next Saturday. Go Linc!
