Participatory Democracy?

We all know how important it is to vote, but our yard sign is taking things to a different level. Carey and Greta made it a few weeks ago using some cardboard lettering and a Sharpie. IF YOU SUPPORT... it says on the top ... then has a bunch of policies (Universal Pre-K, Women's Right to Choose, etc.) as if they're thought bubbles ... then concludes with VOTE BIDEN/HARRIS.

Well.

Yesterday while Carey and I were both at work we got a text from Lincoln saying: "People just wrote on the outside sign." Naturally our first thought was it must be Trump vandals. Have these people no shame? Where is their decency? But no, it was a young girl and two adults. The girl had the Sharpie. And she added: "Black Lives Matter," "Universal Health Care" and "Respect and Decency."

So while we can't conclude our yard sign changed anyone's mind, it at least provided an outlet for one girl, too young to vote, to express herself.
