Reasoning that with school starting tomorrow and a likely quarantine in the cards this month or next following an outbreak caused by a school-reopening plan that contains ZERO testing of students until they need to be confirmed as sick, Grandma Vickie thought it would be a good idea to cook and eat a Thanksgiving meal on Sept. 12. So off we went for a day trip to Syracuse on Saturday, dog in the backseat, passing the two-hour drive by crushing crossword puzzles (Clue: Nowheresville. Answer: P-O-D-U-N-K). Once there, we filled ourselves (OK, I filled myself) on chips, dip, pickles and olives before the big feast was served around 2pm. Delicious, as always. I'm looking forward to our Christmas 2020 get-together in, say, May 2021.
