Shaftsbury State Park

Tossed the kids and the dog in the Pilot on Saturday afternoon and drove across the border to Vermont's Green Mountain National Forest for a hike around a small lake and a peep at the still-turning leaves. Saw a good-sized water snake out of the water, but no other wildlife of note. Refueled with iced maple lattes and bourbon pecan chocolates on the drive home. Fall really is my favorite.
