A lovely first almost-officially-fall Saturday here in the capital region. Carey and I woke before the kids and took Yeager for a ramble through Schenectady's Central Park. The Rose Garden was in great shape with a lot of varieties still in bloom.

In the afternoon, the kids joined us for a few miles through the Vischer Ferry Nature Preserve, where Lincoln, for once, was an engaged photo subject.

| Took me awhile to figure out that the new iPhone shoots in burst mode only when you depress the button and quickly slide your finger to the left. Holding down the button toggles you immediately to Video mode, I guess in case you're shooting a photo and your subject is suddenly animated? |
