Introducing Mattie and Millie...

That's pronounced like the Irish, Maddy... they join big sister Mandy at Grandma Vickie and Grandpa Larry's abode in Syracuse. Basically, if you just yell, "M!", a canine will be with you shortly.

The girls were adopted in late August from Helping Hounds, because Vickie and Larry just have so much more love to give in retirement. So far they're adjusting very well. Sleep in their crate, do their business outside, and haven't chewed through all the furniture yet. Our kids are kind of bummed that the school year has started so no more extended visits during the week, but it's one more reason to visit often on the weekends! Personally, I'm a little worried it means fewer Vickie visits to Niskayuna while the girls grow up, but I'm sure they'll figure it out for things like school concerts or cross country races or whatever they want to enjoy. The door, as always for both sets of g'rents, is open. Y'all know the garage code.

Next visit I'll bring the big camera and get some better shots. These are just a selection from the dozens of iPhone photos everyone can't help but take whenever they're near the puppies.
