Volunteer Extraordinaire

The Girl Scouts certainly encourage giving back. Thanks to all her early morning Honor Flights and hours at the food pantry, Greta earned a Bronze Volunteer Award from the Niskayuna Community Action Program. She was recognized for volunteering between 50-74 hours at their meeting last week, along with a few of her fellow Scouts and others in the community who give their time and effort to make the lives and circumstances of others better.

She's aiming for Silver or Gold status next year, so was at the airport by 6 a.m. this morning to deliver muffins and say thank you to 25 veterans who were flying from Albany to D.C. to visit the war memorials. What a great kid.
