Entrepreneur & Humanitarian Fair

The entire fourth grade of the Niskayuna Central School District held its annual Entrepreneur & Humanitarian Fair on Wednesday night. Groups of kids in each class were tasked with coming up with a "business," creating a business model, creating a product(s), and selling them at the fair -- with a portion of the proceeds going to a local animal shelter.

Lincoln's group consisted of himself and four classmates. They created a 10-page comic book and sold it for $1.50. When we left at 7pm to attend an orientation for incoming fifth graders who want to play in the band, they had sold 13 copies. They had two other aspects of their business -- for 50 cents, people could use superhero props to take selfies, and for 25 cents Lincoln would play a song on his viola.

Carey is aggravated that I cut off her Wonder Woman hair. My humble -- and public -- apologies. Helluva good movie though, if you haven't seen it yet. And Gal Gadot -- mercy!
