Dental progress

Greta's had a palate expander in her month for more than a month. It's a metal device that attaches to two of her molars and spreads across the roof of her mouth. Looks like this:

Using what looks like an uncoiled paper clip, we turned a key 14 times on a schedule determined by the orthodontist and widened her palate to correct her cross-bite. Phase two started today, which involved the application of glue to her top molars and somehow corrects her under-bite. It's all dental voodoo to me, but Greta is an ideal patient. She's diligent about using her Water Pik after every meal to blast out stuck food particles and is never afraid in the chair. All credit to her mother for that.
