Showing off baby brother

Young Linc entertained his first non-family visitors on Saturday, our friends Gardner & Allison. Greta had a great time sharing Grandma with Jay while the adults relaxed on the balcony. Grandma reports that at one point after she briefly held Jay while cutting up grapes for a snack, Greta turned to her and said, "This not your Jay, this MY Jay. MY Jay, Grandma." Carey remarked how interesting it was that Greta was possessive of Jay and not her grandmother. She was rewarded at the end of the afternoon though with a big hug and what Jay called a "smooch." It was a tad aggressive, but Greta was just coquettish enough to let Jay go home with a smile on his face. Carey also noticed how interested Greta was in her little brother when put in a position to show him off. She watched him wiggle in his bouncy seat, patted him on the head, and brought him make-believe cake from her tea party. Toddler show & tell, I guess. Both G and Alli took turns holding Lincoln, with Garnder looking particularly uncle-ish.
