I'm a man, so what do I know, but it seems to me that having no hips is something Greta will someday take pride in. But now, nigh on 2 years old, it's really just an annoyance for her parents. Every pair of 18-24 months pants slips right off her waist. We've taken to pinching them with safety pins, but we often forget, as in this picture. Last weekend Greta was having a grand time at the playground, running around and chasing all the other kids, when her pants suddenly fell down to her ankles, stopping her in her tracks. She just looked up at me, like, "Hey, fix this problem, would ya?
ella had the same problem for a while. but now she has developed somewhat of a Buddha belly and that seems to be helping. from a woman's perspective -- if she never develops hips she'll be much happier.
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff Rob. You truly have taken the lead in the exciting new blogging world! Greta is sooooo adorable. Thank you for sharing. The video addition is way cool, too. What about hips from a boy's perspective?? In today's teenage boy world it seems the "hip" thing to do is to wear your pants below the hips whether you have them or not. I see that on my little Kade down the road, and he'll have a belt cinching his pants beneath his armpits :)
