did you actually miss him at first in the color? i'm just impressed that the countertop held up. he's a heavy boy! :-)
I did miss him in the color initially, though I wasn't attentive in my search. He contrasts against his surroundings more in the B&W.
I was able to easily spot him in the color photo. Given that the color photo was first, hard to compare against the black/white.
