Arrived in Syracuse this afternoon for the first leg of Greta's last High School Spring Break. After the holiday weekend, we head south for Washington, D.C., where she has an Admitted Student Day at American University on April 14. From D.C. it's back to Syracuse to pick up Yeager via Carlisle, Pa., home to Dickinson College, which needs to be seen before we tell them, "thanks but no thanks, we really like the nation's capital." We brought the bikes, so I'm looking forward to a ride from Aunt Kathy's place above the Ballston Metro to Mt. Vernon as well as a visit to Schaeffer Farms in Montgomery County, which I vaguely remember as being beyond my abilities as a mountain biker 20 years ago, but I think will now seem tame.
