Every time it rains on a sunny day, and I mean EVERY TIME, Carey likes to exclaim, "Look for a rainbow!" I've always seen it as a blatant expression of her optimism. Dozens could be dying in a flash flood somewhere, but if the sun is out and it's raining, she's looking for a rainbow. Well. Last week at the tail end of an evening dog walk, it started to rain amid the sunshine. "Look for a rainbow," came the clarion call, and even Yeager looked up to see this beauty arcing over the house. (All photos courtesy of Greta)

About a week later, driving home from Matt's graduation in Syracuse during a p.m. shower, we saw TWO MORE as we sped down the highway. We are no longer focusing on the meteorological phenomena since they're now so commonplace. Time to find those leprechauns and pots of gold.
