The Who song "Pinball Wizard" is running through my mind this morning: "From Soho down to Brighton, he must have played them all..." But I'm substituting Air Force assignments: "From Cheyenne down to Dover, she must have played them all..."I love my wife, that's no secret. And I believe I've written this before, but as snarky as I am, I also really admire her sense of service. I've never felt that way about my country -- blame it on the jaded nature of the news industry, or just my own selfishness, I don't know -- but in this climate where it's difficult to find anyone with pure intentions in our government, I wish we had more Maj. Carey Merrills.
