Last weekend marked the start of Girl Scout cookie season, or at least the public sale of said treats. Greta (wo)manned three booths, two at local Stewart's Shops and one night shift, 6-8pm, at a Wal-Mart. Sold more than 160 boxes, total, and personally gets credit for half those. (There are two people per booth.) I think each Scout in her troop was challenged to sell 200 so they can raise enough money for a trip to Savannah, Ga., next summer. It's the birthplace of the
Girl Scouts of America. Who knew?
