Our activist kids enjoyed marching twice around the New York State Capitol on Saturday morning and chanting: "Hey, ho, the NRA must go!" "What do we want? Gun control! When do we want it? Now!" "This is what Democracy looks like!" My favorite sign was blunt: "Am I Next?" Here's hoping all those who marched around the country vote in November and force the people they elect to actually make good on their promises. Maybe our 12- and 10-year-old will someday live in a world where assault rifles are found only in war zones.
