Moved up
Goodbye, fifth grade! One year at Craig Elementary School and Greta is a graduate. She proudly accepted her Hermione Granger award in a classroom ceremony last Friday -- "for wisdom, grace, and strength in mind and heart in the 2015-2016 school year" -- and today she stood up with her class, accepted another certificate, and belted out Bruno Mars' "Count on Me." Her teacher spoke on behalf of all the fifth grade teachers and Greta was thrilled she quoted Albus Dumbledore from "The Sorcerer's Stone," thanking Neville Longbottom at the end: "It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends." She may or may not have been foreshadowing the peer pressure and bullying of middle school, but only time will tell!
