My mom admits to having two memories of my illustrious Little League career: The time the ball was hit to right field and I didn't realize it because I was looking for a four-leaf clover, and the time I got my first and only single in the last game of my career and her heart pounded out of her chest with pride. When Lincoln's baseball career is done, I think I'll probably have a few more memories than that. This season he's demonstrated a great arm on relay throws from right, a patience at the plate (coach pitches after a kid throws four balls), and a relentless enthusiasm for the game and his teammates. All of which is a long-winded way of saying I'm proud of my boy.
