Fall baseball

Lincoln and his pal Jack are signed up for six Mondays of fairly intense baseball skills instruction. This Monday was the first. Coach Chris is quite a bit more militant than mommy and her fellow T-ball coaches! No one is allowed to speak unless they raise their hand, you may not touch your teammate except during the course of play, and they won't be using bats until at least halfway through the program.

So far, so good. Lincoln didn't chafe at the discipline and seemed to enjoy practicing his fielding position and trying to catch popped up tennis balls.

I have told Lincoln that Derek Jeter is retiring soon, so a little practice now might do him good later.
