Dickens Village

Greta and I enjoyed an annual Maplewood tradition this afternoon as Carey stayed home with still sick Lincoln. (Diagnosis has changed to tonsilitis and they're trying a new antibiotic, though it's likely viral. He's lethargic, but staying hydrated, eating some, and enjoying lots of movies and iPad play.)

Anyway, we met the Haydens there and the girls enjoyed checking out the various small-scale homes of Bob Cratchit, Ebeneezer and the rest. Greta then took us to a secret fairy house she somehow knew about in the hollow of a nearby tree trunk. The adults were sworn to secrecy. Topped it off with a few minutes with Santa and Mrs. Claus, who Greta kindly told what Lincoln wanted for Christmas since he couldn't be there in person.

Greta and Emma were uncommonly happy to see each other.
They spent a fair bit of time trading secrets.
Greta also took a shine to this bike rack, attempting various acrobatic moves.

Not a great view of the fairy house with the 50 mm lens, but it was pretty neat-o.
