We didn't celebrate this year with gifts, opting instead for a family moment of spiritual reflection. It lasted 27 seconds and then we opened $300 worth of merchandise, mostly made in China by children. Lincoln went shirtless all morning for reasons that he could never quite articulate. Favorite gifts? A tie for Linc between his life-sized stuffed dolphin and a fake aquarium that scrolls pictures of tropical fish against a back light.
