An annual event at the Kenilworth Park & Aquatic Gardens in Anacostia, this was my first time attending the festival. My friend Elizabeth and I headed down early Saturday morning to try and beat the D.C. heat. Unfortunately, we were unsuccessful, and I have a sunburn on my back to prove it. But even with the 80% humidity, the gardens were gorgeous, and it was a great start to a busy weekend!
