Sometimes a post is just a post

It's been 3 days, so I feel the need to write something before someone reports me as missing.  All's well in Niskayuna.  We are slowly thawing out and you can see most of our driveway below what remains of the ice sheet.  Enough so we had our garage door replaced yesterday.  Here's your obligatory photo, Matthew Gilmore.

We are off to D.C. for a few days next week over the kids' Winter Recess.  Our oldest child will be checking out a few schools in the area, including American Univ., Georgetown and her mother's Juris Doctor alma mater, George Washington.  I'm looking forward to seeing good friends Gardner and Dudley and enjoying the 60+ degree weather, even if the forecast looks like rain.  I'll bring a computer and blog along the way.  Until then, eat your vegetables.
