Trash pickers

Greta and I walked through our local park yesterday -- not a park, really, more of an undeveloped easement with a stream between two of our neighborhood streets -- and she was disgusted by the trash that had revealed itself now that the Niskayuna glaciers have started to recede. So back we went this evening with a Hefty bag and a "Nifty Nabber," one of the kids' favorite tools when we walked the mean (and much dirtier) streets of South Orange. Proud to say we filled the entire bag and saved at least a few birds from Styrofoam consumption!
